Nag Tibba is one of the famous short beginner-friendly treks among other principal ranges of lesser Himalayas like the Dhauladhar and the Pir Panjal, at an elevation of 3,022 meters (9,915 ft), it is located 57 kilometers from Mussorie in the foothills of the Himalayas of the Garhwal region in the Jaunpur Range, Tehri Garhwal District, Uttarakhand of India.
As per Hindu mythology, the mountains of this range are believed to be home to Nag Devta, or the God of snakes. For the Nag Tibba valley villagers, Nag Devta is the protector of their cattle, sheep, village, and welfare. Nag Tibba borrows its name from this serpent history of the tribe, and Tibba is the call for “peaks or hills” in the local language.
The Nag Tibba Trek is a weekend trek with a 15-kilometer distance to hike two ways starting from Pantwari village, best to add up some adventure as you are a working professional, beginner, or season trekker. Consists of mesmerizing views of the lap of the Himalayas, and 100-degree views of the snow-capped mountains like Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, Kala Naag, Swargarohini, and Chanabang.

Trekking here would be best in the season of October-March where in the October-November morning will be chilled or make you feel winter coming. Later in December-January, the snow will be found on the trails, the best experience to have a campsite bonfire. The winter month offers a snowy landscape, while spring brings blooming rhododendrons and clear skies in the February-March.
Dehradun’ Jolly Grant Airport is the closest airport for reaching Nag Tibba. It is approximately 90km from the trek’s base camp. You can take a bus or hire a taxi from the airport to Pantwari.
Pantwari is also connected by road. You can get there by taxi or bus from Mussoorie, Dehradun, or other nearby cities.
Dehradun railway station is the closest railway station to reach Nag Tibba, which is approximately 75 km far from Pantwari.

Set ready early morning 5-6 am and pickup point in Dehradun as per your preference. Starting our ascends drive to the initial trek point Village Pantwari. Our route will be through the queen of hills- Mussoorie via Kempty Falls, river Yumana running aside you are in Nainbagh. We will stop in Mussoorie for a light breakfast.

Camping out in the snowy wilderness of Nag Tibba under the starry night sky offers a memorable experience. Today we have to hike 3km from base camp to the summit, 10km from the summit to Pantwari, and also come back to Dehradun, long day starts usually with early morning 5:00 am, and well-defined energy full breakfast.
